SINOTECH+Overview
The SINOTECH+ sirolimus-eluting stent pairs a thin-walled cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) scaffold with a waved open-cell geometry and a sirolimus coating (1.4 µg/mm²). After delivery and balloon expansion at the lesion, the drug coating limits excessive tissue growth (hyperplasia) to help prevent in-stent restenosis. For use only by physicians experienced in PTCA and stent implantation.

Intended use
Cardiac surgery. The SINOTECH+ sirolimus-eluting coronary stent system is indicated for Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) — the permanent dilation of the stenotic portion of a native coronary artery by placement of a coronary stent, to improve myocardial perfusion. For use only by physicians with significant experience in PTCA and stent-implantation procedures.
How it's used
Coronary stents are cylindrical, drug-coated mesh frameworks inserted into narrowed sections of an artery to expand them. Cholesterol plaque can accumulate and reduce — or completely block — blood flow, starving the heart muscle of oxygen. The stent is delivered folded over a balloon catheter to the lesion and expanded, widening the vessel and restoring flow; the antiproliferative drug coating then treats the artery wall and helps prevent excessive tissue regrowth (restenosis).
